Hello!  Happy almost-Halloween!  There is a lot of excitement in the air!

This week, we shared several seasonal books, practiced writing with "craft moves", and continued working on writing two-digit numbers in expanded form.  We've solved 2000 problems on IXL and several of us moved up to the next guided reading level.  Thank you for helping us practice at home!

Our Mystery Reader this week was Mr. Mitchell Thomas.  He is an actor, director, musician, singer,  college professor, and the director of the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston!

In STEM this week, we began to learn about the difference between physical and chemical changes.  We also learned all about bats-ask us some of our favorite facts!!

Thank you for helping us remember a peanut-free snack and any needed utensils every day!

Thank you for sending a written note in the morning if your child will be picked up on a day when they normally ride the bus-I am supposed to send a written note from the parent with each child who is not usually picked up on a given day.

Project Day will be on Wednesday the 31st from 11:45-12:30.  Please let me know if you plan to come so I can plan an activity/materials/groups/etc. :) . Be sure you have filled out a Volunteer Form if you plan to come and help out.  See you then! :)

Also-just a reminder that we don't wear Halloween costumes on October 31.  Your child is welcome to wear orange in support of anti-bullying. :)

Congratulations to Darius and Kai for earning the privilege of taking home Darla and Kola!

Congratulations to our class on earning 25 Caught You Being Good cards!

Stay warm and dry this weekend-maybe you can do GoNoodle to have some indoor fun ;) Don't forget about the Fall Festival at WPS tomorrow from 1-4PM!

Have a great weekend!
